When we think of the best photo-sharing app, Instagram comes to mind. Instagram is a Facebook-owned free picture and video sharing app. Insta now has over 1 billion active monthly users.
Apart from picture and video sharing, Insta has many additional features such as Reels, IGTV, Stories, and so on. Instagram stories appear to be the most popular feature among all Insta features. Everyone, from celebrities to small companies, appears to be using Instagram stories to spread a message.
Instagram, on the other hand, is a smartphone-centric social network, which is why many features are only available through mobile apps. Insta, for example, does not enable you to publish images, videos, reels, stories, and so on from the PC. Instagram created this strategy to promote the usage of mobile apps. Although Insta does not allow users to upload tales from the desktop, you may use a browser trick to get your story published on the photo-sharing network.
How to Post an Instagram Story from Laptop and PC-
We’ll go over how to post stories on Insta from your PC in detail below.
The technique is time-consuming, but it is the only way to submit stories to Instagram from a PC. So, let’s go check it out.
First, use the Google Chrome browser and navigate to the Instagram website.
Sign in to your Insta account at instagram.com.
Click the + sign in the upper right corner of the screen (this is the same button you’d use to write a post on the mobile app). A new post window will appear.
Drag photo or video files into the popup window, or use the Select from computer button to browse and select media from your PC or Mac. You may choose up to ten files to make a carousel post.
To adjust the aspect ratio of your image or video, click the frame symbol in the lower left corner of the box. To alter your frame, you may also utilise the zoom tool (the looking glass symbol in the bottom left) and drag your file. When you’re finished, click the Next button in the top right corner.
Make changes to your picture. In the Filters page, you may choose from one of 12 preset effects or go to the Adjustments tab to manually tweak characteristics like brightness, contrast, and fading. Next, click the button.
Create a caption. To explore and choose emojis, click the smiling face symbol. You may also enter a place in the Add location field, limit comments in the Advanced options, and add alt text to your files in the Accessibility section.
Click the Share button.
