OnePlus has released a new teaser trailer for the OnePlus 10 Pro, marking the company’s first formal announcement of the forthcoming flagship. The short film shows a look of the device’s new and updated camera module, which has been rumored for quite some time. It also shows when the OnePlus 10 Pro will be available for purchase.
On the Chinese social media network Weibo, OnePlus has posted an official teaser video. The teaser video also discloses the launch date for the OnePlus 10 Pro, as pointed out by tipster Ishan Agarwal in a previous tweet. As a result, we know the new OnePlus flagship will be unveiled on January 11, 2022.
This is a significant departure from OnePlus’ regular March launch schedule for its flagship phones. Because it missed out on the T-moniker devices in 2021, the company will release the phones early next year. An early launch would also help OnePlus compete with flagship smartphones from other OEMs, such as the Xiaomi 12 that was recently released and the Galaxy S22 Ultra that will be released later this month.

For the time being, though, the OnePlus launch will be limited to China. It’s unclear when the OnePlus 10 Pro will be available worldwide, while previous sources have suggested a March release date. This will be in keeping with how the new OnePlus flagship smartphones are usually released.
